ABSU: Hardly known for its dark and seemingly endless winters, lush forests and corpsepaint, the ruins of what was once known as Piano, TX, have nonetheless produced Absu, one of the longest-running and most influential US black metal bands. In 2009, they return with a new self-titled album on Osmose Productions and show all these bedroom-bound misanthropes how it’s really done.
