Swedish maniac and Puteraeon cult leader Jonas Lindblood started off this band by himself in 2008 and started creating some killer death metal shortly there after, playing all the instruments himself. And he did a fucking great job at it as well. The Puteraeon demos were all killer and they ravaged some insane death metal terror in the last few years. This album is a real tasty and rotten stench of a death metal treat for those of us who are fans of this band! It is a compilation, of sorts, that was put together into 13 songs of some great death metal that any fan of the Swedish sound, or that of ANY old school death metal type, will enjoy. There are 2 new songs that KILL= “Coma” and “Storms Over Devil’s Reef”. The rest of the songs are from the 3 demos that put the band on the ancient death metal map. 2 songs from the debut demo “Fascination For Mutilation”= “Castle of Despair” and “The Plague”. 4 songs from the 2nd demo “The Requiem”= “Graverobber”, “Whispers of the Dead”, “Into the Deep” and “Re-Animation”. And 5 songs from the 3rd demo “The Extraordinary Work of Herbert West”= “Experience Zombification”, “Dead Once More”, “The Innsmouth Insanity”, “The Extraordinary Work of Herbert West” and “The End of All.” You see, Jonas recorded and played all of the death noise himself on the first 2 demos. He got a line up together finally and had a working band for the 3rd demo and for this recording. Anyone who calls themself a fan of olden death metal will love this album. It is a great introduction to these maniacs and some of their all time best songs. The songs were all re-done and re-recorded with Andy LaRoque as well, which ups the ante as far as “metal points” go. I’m looking forward to the new album of material. There are also plenty of killer old songs left from those demos too! hahahaha. GET THIS NOW! ESSENTIAL!
